Ukraine received 40 ambulances from the Korean government
“Every day, Ukraine is under attack by the enemy army. Every day, our infrastructure is being destroyed. 1594 medical facilities have been damaged and another 210 destroyed to the ground. 550 emergency medical vehicles have been damaged, destroyed or seized by russians at a time when the need for medical transportation is growing significantly due to the growing number of wounded. I am very grateful to all our partners who give us a shoulder of support. The 40 ambulances we received today from the Korean government will help our emergency medics save even more patients, as these vehicles are equipped with everything necessary to help seriously ill patients and those who need additional life-sustaining measures during transportation to and between hospitals.”
“I am also very grateful that today we are able to hand over 40 ambulances from Korea to the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. I think it is very important that the Red Cross, which was born in a war zone, can donate ambulances that can be used to support the wounded, guided by the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.”
The vehicles are equipped to provide life-saving assistance to patients during medical transportation.
For more than two years of full-scale war, russians have damaged 164 ambulances, destroyed another 261 vehicles and seized 125 vehicles.
It should be recalled that Ukraine received ambulances from the government of Slovenia.
