The 45th memorandum on international medical partnership was signed during URC2024 in Berlin

During the International Conference on the Recovery of Ukraine (Ukraine Recovery Conference - URC2024), the 45th memorandum on cooperation was signed within the framework of the international medical partnership initiative between Ukraine and 18 countries of Europe and North America. The memorandum was signed between the Superhumans Center for Prosthetics, Rehabilitation and Reconstructive Surgery and Charité, the largest university hospital in Germany and Europe, located in Berlin.

The memorandum was signed by the General Executive Director of the Superhumans Center Olha Rudneva and the representative of Charité, Professor Malek Bazhbuzh, with the participation of the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko. Andriy Stavnitser, co-founder of Superhumans in Odesa, was also present at the signing ceremony.

"Last year, during the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, we launched the International Medical Partnership Program. Then 25 Ukrainian hospitals received "sisters" in different parts of the world. Since then, the program has been constantly expanding. The memorandum between the ultra-modern Ukrainian Superhumans Center and the world-famous German Charité clinic became the 45th. It is symbolic that it was signed on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, because it is an effective platform for dialogue and consolidation of sustainable international support for Ukraine. I am sure that interaction at the level of medical facilities and constant exchange of experience together with joint efforts will improve the quality of medical care," said Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko.

The memorandum envisages deep cooperation in the fields of rehabilitation and mental health, namely:

joint research and work with mental disorders and sleep disorders of patients with military trauma;

adoption of experience in using the method of narrative exposure therapy;

organization of joint training events and conferences for specialists from different regions of Ukraine;

prevention of staff burnout of healthcare institutions of Ukraine.

It should be noted that international medical partnership is horizontal cooperation at the level of health care institutions. The purpose of this partnership is to create long-term mutually beneficial relations that will help strengthen the technical, expert, scientific and managerial potential of medical institutions. This will contribute to the formation of a capable network of health care institutions.

In addition, such cooperation will transform joint experience into best practices and policies in providing psychological and rehabilitation assistance to Ukrainian defenders who suffered as a result of full-scale war.
