Healthcare institutions received 14 ambulances purchased under UNITED24

Departmental healthcare institutions have received new ambulances purchased at the request of the Ministry of Health. They were purchased by Medical Procurement of Ukraine with donor funds raised under the UNITED24 initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The vehicles will be delivered to Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv oblasts. These are 4 front-wheel drive vehicles and 10 all-wheel drive vehicles at a total cost of over UAH 39 million.

“The next 14 ambulances purchased thanks to UNITED24 donations are equipped with everything necessary for evacuation and rescue. This will help strengthen the medical system, as the enemy has already damaged, destroyed or seized almost 500 ambulances. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s fundraising initiative UNITED24 has united people from all over the world to help Ukraine, including in the medical sector. The funds raised will be used to purchase medical equipment, rebuild medical facilities, and provide medical supplies - everything our doctors need to continue working and saving lives,” said Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.

“Protecting the health of Ukrainians is our priority. This time, we have delivered 14 ambulances to our medics, who are in dire need of an intensive care unit on wheels. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the need for such vehicles has increased significantly, as they are systematically damaged or completely destroyed due to the fighting. That is why these procurements are very important for the country. In total, over 4 years, Medical Procurement of Ukraine has purchased and handed over more than 1100 ambulances to medics, which save many lives every day,” added Edem Adamanov, Director General of the Medical Procurement of Ukraine.

The ambulances purchased are equipped with respiratory support, infusion devices, vital signs monitoring and resuscitation equipment. In particular, a blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, glucometer, defibrillator, nebulizer, capnograph, electrocardiograph, etc.
