Ministry of Health: 81% of healthcare institutions operate in the de-occupied territory of Kherson region

as of 30 january 2023, 27 healthcare institutions were destroyed in the kherson oblast: 1 hospital, 7 outpatient clinics and 19 paramedic and midwifery centers. 77 institutions were damaged: 21 institutions that provide medical care, 17 outpatient clinics, 36 paramedic and midwifery centers and 3 other medical institutions. currently, out of 163 medical institutions in the de-occupied territory of kherson oblast, 132 (81%) work.

Ministry of Health: restoration of medical infrastructure is estimated at least more than USD 6 billion

since the beginning of the active stage of the war, russia has caused significant losses to the medical system. the biggest damage was caused to the medical infrastructure in the territories of 5 oblasts: donetsk, kharkiv, mykolaiv, chernihiv and kyiv. also, the situation with medical infrastructure in the luhansk oblast remains difficult. ukraine does not actually have access to medical institutions in this territory and cannot fully assess the degree of destruction.

Non-governmental German organizations handed over a mobile medical office to Ukraine

today, on 5 february, at the embassy of the federal republic of germany, the german ngo cadus handed over a mobile medical office to the base ua partner organization in kyiv in the presence of german ambassador anka feldgusen and minister of health of ukraine viktor liashko. the minister of health of ukraine and the ambassador also discussed further german-ukrainian cooperation.
